Walking into that bar, I knew immediately that the timing was too right. The haze from the sweat and anticipation of all the people in front of me; searching eyes, aching for someone to catch them and hold them long enough to spark fate. The alcohol confident fingers clasping beers by their necks while perspiration traveled down hands, dripping onto the toxic stench onto the floor.
I have gotten at least 10 e-mails today from places like match.com, singlesnet, datemyschool, and christiansingles.
Thanks for the reminder. I almost forgot I was single.

Why does everyone in my immediate life worry about where I am going to end up? Is it really that bad if I don’t know yet? I’m going to be 21 next month. Who said that now is the time to be making decisions for the rest of my life? Why can’t I live without always planning? What’s so wrong with answering questions with “It’s a possibility”? If it is so necessary that I “find the right guy/career” and choose that one path for the rest of my life then why do I feel so uncertain? I want to keep traveling, not planning, and not worry about what is to come. I want to keep being excited and surprised by life. I want to experience all the highlights and pitfalls without knowing their possibility beforehand. I believe you can search for your place without acknowledging that you are searching. Is this just naive of me? Will it be my heart or will it be theirs.
